We need help raising-up our friends and neighbors in Butte County and time is of the essence. Sean Glennon and Kim Torri with the help of Sierra Pet Clinic will be collecting gift cards, gas cards, new unused hygiene supplies and cash to personally deliver to victims of the Camp Fire in Butte County on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Those who are able to foster evacuees and/or pets are invited to include their contact information in a personal letter to also be delivered. Jay and Michelle at the Sierraville Store have graciously offered to accept donations including written cards, notes and cash, at the store. Please call Kim Torri at 530-908-7411 or emailkimtorri@gmail.comto help volunteer, to make arrangements for gathering hygiene items and pet food.

Other Ways to Help

At this time the biggest need for those affected by the Camp Fire is monetary support in the form of cash, gas cards or gift cards to local stores and restaurants. Relief center representatives in impacted areas report having too many donated goods, especially used clothing and other used items, which take too much time to sort through and clean before distributing to fire victims. While they genuinely appreciate all of the donated goods, evacuees don’t have a place to put them. Visa gift cards are the most practical donation as they can be applied to any goods evacuees may need.
